Wheathampstead is a beautiful historic village. Why not top off your visit to the market with a meal at one of our great local pubs or restaurants, or a peaceful walk by the river.    

If you love food, especially high quality, lovingly produced local food, then Wheathampstead Farmers ’ Market is the place for you.. 

Every month on the third Sunday, the village farmers’ market will provide a sumptuous range of some the best local food you can buy.  We have it all; fresh crunchy vegetables, lovingly preserved jams and pickles, hot chilli ’s,locally reared beef, pork and lamb, fresh eggs, a great wet fish stall, plants and herbs to name but a few.

The market also has a small hall with tea, coffee and biscuits provided by the Womens Institute and indoor craft stalls for local artists and craftspeople, offering stunning jewellery, home accessories and pictures.

So join us for the perfect day out, at Wheathampstead Farmers ’ Market.  The Market is open 10am - 1pm

The Farmers ’ Market is located to one end of East Lane car park.  There is a free car park at Memorial Hall, and a few minutes walk to the market down Brocket View.

The Bull car park is for patrons only.

Among the stalls will be:

Watercress
Grown in free flowing pure spring water, cress has been grown in Hertfordshire since Roman times.  It is still hand harvested in the traditional way, cut to order,s o that it ’s beautifully fresh and wonderfully peppery.

Bread
Using organic wheat grown just two miles from Redbourn, then milled at Rebournbury, flour is hand baked into bread, scones, tea cakes, rolls and baps. Sun-dried tomato and rosemary focaccia are just some of the popular treats.

Fresh Beef
This is the finest beef from Hertfordshire ’s native shorthorns.  This traditionally farmed beef is renowned for its rich marbled meat. Steaks, roasting joints, burgers, mince and sausages, all from your local farm.
