Wheathampstead 10k/2k Fun Run - 2007

WHEATHAMPSTEAD 10k/2k – 20th May 2007 - RESULTS SUMMARY

This year saw another record turn out at the Wheathampstead 10k/2k, with 658 finishers in the 10k and around 600 participants in the 2k. Despite a dubious weather forecast in the preceding week, the day turned out to be perfect. Whilst families and groups picnicked on the playing fields, the 10k saw David Miles record an impressive 34.09, beating last year’s course record and winning by over 2 minutes. The ladies race was closer but was eventually won by Karen Bradley from Barnet and District AC, in a time of 41.49.

Congratulations go to the winners of the 2k, Thomas Stead and Rebecca Pritchard, and to all the trophy winners in the 10k who are:
